Music For Games
It was around 2012 when Owen Harris first asked Andy to contribute music to a computer game he was working on named “Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan” with his company at the time bitSmith Games. This marked the beginning of Andy’s foray into the world of audio design, computer games music and digital experiences. Since then he has worked on a number of projects, including DEEP VR , The Shape Of Us , Dino Ghost and SCROLLQUEST 2.0.
Bounty Hunter
This track was made for a game called Bounty Hunter in collaboration with Owen Harris of bitSmith games and artist Tom Moore. It was for a competition for the website Boing Boing and was all made in about a week. All very low-fi. Think I made it using reaper cause that’s all my crappy laptop would run at the time

SCROLLQUEST 2.0
HACK-N-SLASH YOUR WAY PAST REJECTION SENSITIVY
Rejection Sensitivity has been defined as “the disposition to anxiously expect, readily perceive, and overreact to rejection”. It can lead individuals to spiral into a vicious cycle of aggressive or withdrawn behaviors, ultimately leading to the emergence of serious mental health problems like depression.
The unique design challenge of ScrollQuest 2.0 was to create a more engaging and distinctive rejection experience than the widely-used, standardized task to assess rejection and isolation: Cyberball.
Pre/post game interviews, in game analytics and proctored observations provide the research institute with measures of behavioural and emotional responses to the rejection episodes, responses that are not assessed in Cyberball.
Various RAW SFX sounds made using an Electromagnetic Field Microphone and editing it in both Unity and Ableton.
Dino Ghost
This track is a good few years old. Again it was made for a computer game collaboration with Owen Harris and Tom Moore, this time we made a game in 1 working day (YES ONE FUCKING DAY!!!). It was called Dino Ghost. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately?) it is not available anywhere on line. But some of the game art survives at least.
Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan
These tracks was made for the computer game Ku: Shroud of the Morrigan, which was made by bitSmith Games.
